Created in 1985, Embrapa Agricultural Informatics is a thematic research unit of Embrapa – Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation), a government institution under private law, linked to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply.
It is located in the campus of Universidade Estadual de Campinas—Unicamp—(Campinas State University), in Campinas-SP.
To enable research, development and innovation solutions in information technology for the sustainability of agriculture, to the benefit of the Brazilian society.
To be a reference center for the creation of knowledge, technology and innovation in information technology for the sustainable production of food, fibers and agroenergy.
